why it's best for you.

We only use Australian made "Dynaproofed" canvas (the same as used by the Australian Department of Defence), which is made by another proudly Australian company Wax Converters. We figure that if it's tough enough for the army, then it will do the job for you.

This "Dynaproofed" formulation contains UV stabilisers, rot and mildew inhibitors, waterproofing waxes, premium colour pigments and high performance acrylic binders. This formulation is applied via a full immersion process which allows for the treatment to be absorbed right into the fibres of the canvas, which also provides excellent breathability and lower chance of condensation of the canvas.

BEWARE of cheaper (usually imported) canvas which may only have chemicals painted on - usually only to one side of the fabric - it's not fully immersed. This not only results in uncomfortable condensation problems for you, but the fabric is sure to only last you short term - we've heard of cases where it's in as little as six months - before the Australian UV conditions destroy the fabric's waterproofness and strength, so it becomes prone to leaking and ripping.

You could save yourself some dollars on the purchase price, but you might end up spending more in the long run.
